Transforming Communities Through Green Innovation, Health, and Inclusive Development
About GEHESE
Gender, Health and Sustainable Environment (GEHESE) is a non-governmental organization committed to promoting sustainable environmental solutions, improved health outcomes, and inclusive economic empowerment for communities, especially women, youth and other marginalized groups. We work at the intersection of environmental sustainability, climate resilience, clean energy, waste management, and green livelihoods to create practical, community-driven solutions that improve lives and protect the planet. GEHESE believes that environmental justice, gender equality, and economic empowerment are interconnected and essential for building resilient and equitable societies. Our work is guided by three cross-cutting themes that run through every program: Gender Equality & Social Inclusion, Health & Wellbeing, and Economic Empowerment. These themes ensure no one is left behind.
